Christmas Wrap Up

Here's a few pics from Riley's first Christmas. Santa was very good to her... and so was everyone else! Thanks to all for making her's and Skylar's Christmas so special.

Riley is getting so big! Here she is drinking from her sippy cup and riding on her dinosaur that Gram and Papa gave her for Christmas. She'll have her driver's license before we know it!

10 Months!

Long Time, No Blog

Sorry y'all! It's been a busy holiday season. We've had a lot going on, but here's just a few things we've been up to.

Two weeks ago, we went to Katie's school, Assumption of Our Lady, where Riley got to meet Santa for the first time! Both Skylar and Riley got to sit on Santa's lap plus we got to watch a great Christmas play that was written, cast and directed by our very own Katie Silva. She did a great job and we had a lot of fun.

Last weekend, Johnny and I took a quick trip to the Paragon for a little fun. We slept in, had nice dinner, and Johnny got to play some golf while I cheered him on! It was nice to get away and spend some time together.

On Saturday, we went to Skylar's school, Christ the King, to hear Skylar perform in a Christmas concert. She sang like an angel! And, on Monday, Johnny and I headed back to school for her homeroom party. We had a Christmas feast filled with finger sandwiches, nuggets, and cheese balls. It was fun hanging out with Ms. Strahan's first grade class. Here is a photo of Skylar with her teacher. Happy Holidays and I will be posting some Christmas pics soon!!!

Skylar is such a great big sister! Riley loves to be with her. She helps Riley with her bath, she feeds her, and even lets Riley try on her clothes. These two girls are sure to be friends forever!

Last week, I took a day off work and got to spend the whole day with Riley. It was so nice. We had breakfast together, did a little shopping, and we went to the park. Riley got to play on the swings, watch the ducks, and ride the carousel. She loved it!

Riley is wanting to stand all the time now. She has been moving from side to side of the couch and she's getting braver by the day. Maybe she'll start walking in a few weeks!

Happy Anniversary!

My mom and dad recently celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary. Wow! That is so awesome and we were able to give them a surprise party this weekend on the Steamboat Natchez. Mom and dad are the most giving people I know so it was so nice to give them something for a change.

Pardon the Interruption

Sorry I haven't posted in a while! My computer at home is acting up so I haven't had a chance to put any new pics up, but I promise to do so soon. Just thought I would at least give a little update. Riley is everywhere now! She does the army crawl all over the place. She is doing her best to pull things down, eat plugs and dog toys, etc. We have to watch her so close now because in the blink of an eye she is across the room! She is also trying to pull herself up. She has gotten really good and standing with assistance, but she is ready to do it herself! I have a feeling that walking is just around the corner.

Riley also has 4 teeth now and 2 more look like they are about to make their appearance. Thank goodness I am no longer breastfeeding! Just kidding, but I did just wean Riley about 2 weeks ago and now she is only on formula... and baby food of course. She is a little piggy and her thighs are chunkier than ever!

I am still amazed everyday by how fast she is growing and becoming a big girl. This has definetly been the greatest 9 months of my life and I can't wait to see what she will do in the coming months. I love you, Riley Jane!

Another Weekend for the Books

Our weekend was filled with plenty of family, friends, and fun. It was an exciting 2 days. For those of you who don't know, I turned 30 on Thursday. That's right, 30. I think I might officially be a grown-up. I am a 30 year old woman who is married with kids... but I still feel like a kid myself. My 20's were quite eventful so we'll see what my 30's have in store for me!

Anyway, we celebrated my birthday at our annual Halloween Block Party. It was awesome to have all my family and friends in one place and I had a great time.

Sunday started with a trip to Tic Toc to see Ms. Keisha and the rest of the morning crew. Riley enjoyed her first trip to a Dimm family staple as she sat happily in the stickiest high chair that ever existed. Kelley enjoyed kisses from everyone while Evie was concentrating on her Mickey Mouse pancake. Our 2 party animals, Johnny and Skylar, slept through our breakfast trip. They needed to get their rest! We finished off our weekend with a birthday celebration for Johnny's mom, Ms. Wenda and his Uncle Glen. We ate a delicious meal and enjoyed spending time with the family. Riley was the cutest little present with her bow on her head!
