Hola Dora!

Riley is totally attached to Dora. She got her as a gift from Aunt Cindy for her birthday and hasn't put Dora down since! She loves her so much and even tries to eat while holding her. We tried to let Dora sleep with Riley, but those girls play too much in the bed!

Happy Birthday Blythe!

Johnny's godchild, Blythe, turned 21 yesterday! She had a weekend of birthday festivities which was capped off last night by a trip to Besh Steakhouse in Harrah's Casino. Her birthday dinner was attended by all the ladies of the Bergeron family and it was fun! The food was delicious and the company was great. We did learn one thing about Blythe... she loves white russians!

Irish Italian Parade

We took all the kiddies to the Irish Italian Parade on Sunday! Even Henry made an appearance on Veterans Blvd. We had a great time and caught lots of beads and produce, but it was hot!

Friday was my good friend Paige's birthday! She is my oldest friend... together since we were 2. After all these years, we still have lots of fun together. We took a trip to the French Quarter on Friday night. Amy and I had a lot of fun. We ate at GW Finns and it was yummy. Then we went to some bars for some good clean fun.....

Homework

Over the Mardi Gras holiday, Skylar was given a science project to do for homework. It's been a long time since I've done homework! Luckily, 1st grade science didn't mess with too many of the cob webbs in my brain. Skylar was asked to choose a habitat and create a model of this habitat in a shoebox. She chose a desert. So thanks to the awesome website, www.enchantedlearning.com we did some research and came up with a great project based on the Chihuahuan desert in Mexico. Skylar designed a rattlesnake, bats, and a coyote while her dad made some sand out of food coloring and sugar. It was fun to be a part of what Skylar is learning in school and I'm sure she'll get an A+!

Family Gras

Johnny and I took the girls to a parade last night! It was Riley's first one. She really enjoyed it, but it was very chilly. Mardi Gras is definetly different with two kids in tow!

Today we went to see Skylar in her school parade! All the parents and kids cheered for beads being thrown from the pre-k, kindergarten, and 1st grade students. We had fun and Skylar was the cutest girl in the parade!

Guess what? I love pancakes!

Riley's appetite is growing! We are trying all new foods with her now that she's a big girl. She is a little piggy and hasn't turned down anything yet, except peaches. She has been enjoying pancakes and blueberry muffins for breakfast, sandwiches for lunch, and raviolis for dinner! Now if we could only get her to drink from a sippy cup.....
