Christmas Wrap Up

This Christmas was truly awesome!  I loved so much watching the girls enjoy every moment of Christmas.  It was really special and it makes me feel very lucky and blessed for all the things I have.... especially our wonder family and friends!

Breakfast with Santa!  Both girls told Santa exactly what they wanted.

Love these girls!

Gram and Papa's gift exchange.  All the kids were super excited... even Evie :)

Christmas Eve.  So pretty!

Riley Homemaker

We have really been enjoying this holiday season!  Riley has been singing christmas music, doing her advent calendars, and looking for her elf every morning!  It has been so much fun to watch her embrace all these Christmas traditions.  She particularly loves Christmas cards.  She loves when we get the mail and opens all the cards with excitement.  She was pretending to make her own cards, so we decided to make some she could send out herself.  She worked really hard on her little works of art and loved every minute of it!

 Her masterpieces.
Today Riley made her own Christmas cookies!  We made sugar cookies and she iced them and added sprinkles..... LOTS of sprinkles.  These are some seriously crunchy cookies.  She did a great job.  We might have a future baker on our hands!

 Her delicious masterpieces.

Dora's stocking

We put up our stockings last week and Riley only had one question.  Where's Dora's stocking?  She immediately asked Dora if she wanted a stocking to which, of course, she answered yes!  So we got a stocking to decorate for Dora and it turns out, Dora wanted to decorate her own stocking....

Here's the finished product!
That girl is a mess!!

The Ranch

We had a nice and relaxing trip at the Gentry ranch!  It was great to get away and so fun to watch all the kids experience something new!  From the nature hikes, to the cow pastures, and the 4 wheelers, these kids had a blast!  Can't wait to visit again.

Riley loved the gator!!  This was her favorite.
A girls day of shopping
Making s'mores!
Preparing for a nighttime nature hike... A great way to tire out the kids before bed
 A picnic!

Give Thanks

This November, it seems many of my friends on Facebook do a daily post of the things in life they are most thankful for.  As I can barely remember to put my shoes on some days, I decided I wouldn't be able to keep up with that little game, but I do love the idea of it.  So, amongst the many things in my life that are a blessing to me, I am thankful for this wonderful weekend.  It was no extraordinary weekend, just one that I got to share with Johnny and the girls, not to mention my good friends.  It was the perfect mix of some fun with friends as well as some fun times hanging with the girls and their grandparents.  I am lucky to have all these people in my life.... so thanks!

The girls decorated their doors with some turkeys!
Love this turkey :)
Riley's beautiful decorations!
Very artistic

Thankful for this Bergeron Bunch!

Another Milestone

We made the switch!  Friday was Riley's last day in diapers (except for night time)!  We have been working on potty training for several months but I finally decided it was time to go for the gusto.  She wore her "big girl panties" all weekend and she did great! She had no accidents... I'm so proud.

I am both happy and sad about this little milestone.  I am happy that I don't have to buy diapers anymore!!!  But I am sad because diapers were the last "baby" thing that Riley had and it reminds me that my baby girl is growing up! At this rate, she'll be driving in no time.

Great job, Riley Jane!

Happy Halloween!

We LOVE Halloween at our house.  Our neighborhood is very festive with decorations and lights.  Riley enjoys walking up and down the street just about every night to see them all.  We also get hundreds of trick or treaters on Halloween.  We have been busy getting our treat bags ready.  Riley had a lot of fun helping me... especially since she got to sample the candy and treats!

Cheese!
She's a great helper

Team Lunatic

Henry spent this whole weekend with us! It was so much fun.  Riley LOVES hanging out with Henry.  They have a great time playing together.  There was an occasional fight, but mostly they laughed, played, and hugged each other.  Henry is so sweet and he's welcome back at our house anytime!

Happy Birthday Skylar!

Happy 9th Birthday Skylar!  Wow, time really does fly.  It doesn't seem that long ago that I welcomed this sweet little toddler into my life.  From the moment I met Sky, I knew she was someone special!  Although I didn't know her as a little baby, I'm sure she was born with spunk and personality!  It didn't take me long to fall in love with this special girl.  She's got a mind of her own, she is strong, and she has a big heart.  I am amazed at her wisdom at the ripe old age of 9.  Thanks for being you, Skylar, and have a fantastic birthday! We miss you! Love, Daddy, Jen, and Riley :)

Here are some pics from her bowling party this past weekend.  It was awesome!  Everyone really had a fun time!

Look at all those presents!  Thanks to everyone for being so good to her.

Riley was feeling a little jealous & a lot tired by the end of the night.
