Riley and Elmo Jam Session

Riley's new favorite thing is lip syncing.  She does it in the car and at stores too!  Last night, she decided to rock with Elmo, all while wearing her new gymnastics leotard and her big sister's head band.    This girl rocks!

First Day of School!

The big day finally came! We've been talking up school all summer in anticipation for today, and Riley did great!  Johnny and I dropped her off this morning.  She was a little overwhelmed, but she managed to hold back the tears.  I wish I could say the same.  She only had a half day, so we went back and got her right before lunch.  Her teacher said she did great!  She made a friend, too, a little boy named Carter.  Ms. Toni said Riley kept kissing Carter on the cheek :)  I am so proud of my little baby and she is so excited to go back to school on Wednesday!

One Step Closer

School starts on Monday for Riley, but today we got to go to her school to meet her teacher!  We had the opportunity to sit down and talk to the teacher about all of Riley's likes and dislikes and what makes her special.  We brought all her school supplies and she got a tour of her classroom from her teacher, Ms. Toni.  Riley especially loved the outdoor play equipment and the toddler sized toilet and sink.  We also found out that Dora has been accepted to Pre-K 2!  We were worried she might have to stay home, but Ms. toni said Dora is welcome to join Riley for nap time at school. Whew!  Monday will be an exciting day for us.  Who will cry more, me or Riley?  Me, of course!

New School for Skylar!

Today is Skylar's first day at her new school in Shreveport!  She is starting the 3rd grade this year!  I know she was a little nervous about starting a new school and making new friends, but I'm sure she will be in the swing of things in no time!  Here she is below looking truly excited to be awake so early in the morning.  She slept late ALL summer.  Good Luck Skylar!

In the beginning of July, I had the girls pictures taken in downtown New Orleans.  They came out great!  My co-worker, Jaime, also has a photography business and she did a great job.  This is only a small sample of all the photos.  These girls are super cute and photogenic!
