Happy New Year!!

2011 was a great year filled with lots of joy. The good days certainly outweighed the bad and at the end of the day I know how truly blessed I am. I have a wonderful family and I am surrounded by love. I can only hope that 2012 will hold just as many precious memories as the last year has.

We had a fun New Year's Eve. Our two little dare devils loved all the fireworks. Riley partied until 10:30! I only lasted until 11. I woke up at midnight only to kiss Johnny as I moved from the sofa to the bed.... What a party animal. Aside from a few fireworks mishaps (Riley put a firework in her mouth... YIKES), the night was fun!

Merry Christmas!

I had lots of anticipation leading up to Christmas and the big day didn't disappoint! This was the best Christmas ever. Seeing the pure joy on Riley's face melts my heart. She was so excited about everything we did, except church, which she wanted no part of because it involved sitting still. As I look around the house at the 1,000 new toys, I know that I am truly blessed to have such a loving and generous group of family and friends. Riley and Skylar are 2 lucky girls. Thank you to everyone who helped make this holiday one to remember.... not just for the gifts, but for the great company too!

Gingerbread Houses

Friday, I got to go to Skylar's school to help her class make gingerbread houses! It was really special to be with Skylar and participate in a school activity with her. All of her classmates are really sweet and creative. It was a messy and delicious afternoon!
